After selecting the drive, you should exit SSF and restart it. In my case, I had 2 drives, and 2 virtual drives which made it difficult to find the right one. It'll list the drives by their internal names I believe. The other confusing thing is that if you're using SSF, you need to go to the Options menu to select the drive. I've made a lot of coasters before finding out that the image was bad, now I always do this.
